چکیده

This study aims to evaluate the economy of a steel bridge deck pavement scheme (SBDPS) using comprehensive life-cycle cost (LCC) analysis approach. The SBDPS are divided into “epoxy asphalt concrete system” (EA system) and “Gussasphalt (GA according difference in material lower layer SBDPS. A targeted LCC checklist, including manager user was proposed, Markov-based approach applied establish performance model with clear probability characteristics for Representative traffic conditions were designed uniform design method, under representative different credibility (construction quality as random factor) compared. reliability verified based on uncertainty method. Based an expert-scoring approach, weight obtained ensure it is considered reasonably analysis. Compared cumulative volume, equivalent single axle loads (CESAL) have closer relationship LCC. GA system has better when CESAL less, while EA just opposite. breaking point 15 million times. should consider influence factors such construction quality. this paper can provide suggestions bridge-management departments make reasonable selection

Integrated Life-Cycle Assessment and Life-Cycle Cost Analysis Model for Concrete Bridge Deck Applications

An integrated life-cycle assessment and life-cycle cost analysis model was developed and applied to enhance the sustainability of concrete bridge infrastructure. The objective of this model is to compare alternative bridge deck designs from a sustainability perspective that accounts for total life-cycle costs including agency, user, and environmental costs. A conventional concrete bridge deck a...

Study on Performance of Epoxy Asphalt Concrete Applied in the Deck Pavement of Pingsheng Steel Bridge

As a fair deck pavement material of its kind used in steel bridge, the epoxy asphalt concrete is considered much more superior to ordinary asphalt concrete in terms of road performance, while still greatly subject to the level of design and construction. Starting from a practical case of the epoxy asphalt concrete that has been applied in the deck pavement of Pingsheng Steel Bridge, this paper ...

Durability of Latex Modified Concrete Mixed with a Shrinkage Reducing Agent for Bridge Deck Pavement

Latex modified concrete (LMC) is used for a bridge deck pavement method that was introduced in Korea in the 2000s, and it is currently the concrete pavement method being used for most highway bridges. It has been recommended that mixing with latex approximately 15% in terms of polymer-cement ratio (P/C ratio) by weight showed no occurrence of cracks with sufficient tensile strength and bond str...

An integrated life cycle assessment and life cycle analysis model for pavement overlay systems

Pavement systems have significant impacts on the environment and economy due to large material consumption, energy input, and capital investment. To evaluate the sustainability of rigid pavement overlay designs, an integrated life cycle assessment and life cycle cost analysis model was developed to calculate the environmental impacts and costs of overlay systems resulting from material producti...

Whole Life Cycle Cost: a new approach

The last few years have seen significant improvements in the concepts, methods and general approach to calculating costs. ABC, Target Costing, Strategic Cost Management, functional analysis and costing are mobilising attention. Regardless of which of these approaches we consider, it is always from the point of view of one player whose intention is to benefit from increased knowledge of costs in...
